Mackenzie is very active at Castle View High School. She is President of the Interact club, Treasurer of the National Honor Society, in the school’s theater and a Hide in Plain Sight volunteer. She has taken many Advanced Placement and honors classes and attained a 4.13 gpa. She also has lead efforts to help families and children at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. She plans to attend university and study geophysical chemistry with an eye to becoming a hydrologist.
