Sales Soared Peaches Landed!

 

 

 The Glass Peach Award was presented to Darrel Gubbels for most peaches sold -- 68 boxes-- the equivilent of 10% of total sales. No one pitted themselves against Darrel for top honors. Thanks to EVERYONE who supported this fund drive benefiting the Rotary Clubs of Castle Rock and their beneficiaries.

 

Total sales came to 684 boxes of succulent peaches-- yum! Ordering online enhanced sales and ease of purchase.

 

Special thanks to all who did the organizing, heavy lifting and distribution: Al VanDenHeuval, Joan Sjostrom and also Ed Brewer, Darrel Gubbels, Terry Hostetler, Don and B.J. Herre

Jerry Lionetti Inducted as Newest Rotarian

Jerry Lionetti was recently inducted as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Castle Rock.  Jerry holds a BS Degree in Civil Engineering, is a retired LCOL in the USAF, is a retired pilot with Eastern Airlines and United Airlines and currently operates an E-Commerce business. 

 

Jerry and his wife, Beth, are also starting a home for unwed teen moms and moms to be called "A Door of Hope".

 

Congratulations Jerry and welcome aboard!!!


BJ Herre Awarded Paul Harris Recognition

Changing of the Guard!

 

The Rotary Club of Castle Rock celebrated the conclusion of a successful year under the leadership of Ken Konkel and passed the baton to its' new President, Dave Rowland for the current Fiscal Year period of July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.

 Polio Eradication - A Major Rotary Focus

 

Rotary International has partnered with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to further the cause of eradicating polio.  Bill Gates, through his foundation has awarded Rotary a $350M grant.
