CASTLE ROCK CLUB - A Message from the Club President

  "Building Communities . . . Bridging Continents."

Welcome to a new Rotary year. Again, the Club and I are grateful for the wonderful job Ken Konkel and his "administration" did this past year for the club. We made very good progress, especially with some major service projects in which the club can take great pride.

The coming Rotary year promises to hold even more opportunities to serve others above self. Our President's Planning Team will continue meeting to develop a strategic plan for the club's approval based on the results of our recent visioning session. We have new chairs for 3 of our main committees, and we'll no doubt see new initiatives coming in the area of the Rotary Foundation, Community and International Service, and Public Relations. We will also be co-hosting an Ecuadoran exchange student and hearing from her throughout the year.

There will continue to be the challenges we have faced before including working with the High Noon Club on growing the Ducky Derby as well as doing peach sales. There is even the possibility that we will be considering developing an entirely new fundraising event. Add to this more interesting speakers, new members, and some surprises at our weekly meetings, and you have the makings of a great year to be a Rotarian.

We would certainly welcome you to join us as we go down this road of serving: "Building Communities . . . Bridging Continents." Just Contact Us through this website, and we'll be glad to have you as our guest at on of our Wednesday morning meetings at the Village Inn.

Sincerely,

Dave Rowland

President
