What makes Rotary so successful?  The simple answer is PASSION! Rotarians are passionate about "service above self" to help make our world a better place for everyone. They see a need, develop a passion to make a difference and answer the call to action to "Make Dreams Real".

This "Passion in Motion" of our Rotarians is an inspiration to all in helping to "Make Dreams Real" for those in need. During the past year, the Rotary Club of Castle Rock, through it's fund raising activities has made contributions to the Douglas County Task Force, Women's Crisis Center, Castle Rock Senior Center, Castle Rock Players, and Colorado Boys Ranch. 

Douglas-Elberet Task Force Food Bank

The Rotary Club of Castle has collected over 600 food items for the food bank as part of its' support for Douglas-Elbert Task Force.

Project C.U.R.E.

The Rotary Club of Castle Rock presented a check for $1,800 to Jean Fesit, Clinic Coordinator with Project Cure. 

The mission of Project CURE is to identify, solicit, collect, sort and distribute medical supplies and services according to the imperative needs of the world.

BJ Herre, a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Castle Rock and also a retired nurse, donates 6-8 hours of her time each week to help package supplies for needy hospitals and clinics around the work.  Thanks BJ for helping to make a difference in the lives of others!

Colorado Boys Ranch

The Rotary Club of Castle Rock presented a $2,400 check to the Colorado Boys Ranch to further their work with troubled youth. This was our club's first donation from the proceeds of the Ducky Derby.  Accepting the donation was Jerry Krupp, Board member of the Colorado Boys Ranch and also a member of the Rotary Club of Castle Rock.

Toys for Tots

Brock Coltrain from the Castle View High School Interact Club discussed their commitment to raise funding for the Toys for Tots drive through the US Marines.  In response to this call to action, The Rotary Club of Castle Rock enthusiastically collected $270 for this worthy cause at our October 29th weekly meeting. Many thanks to the Interact Club for their dedication to this project and to our Rotarians for their generous support.
