The Castle Rock High Noon and Morning Clubs invites you to join us in our annual community event, the 14th Annual Ducky Derby and Street Festival - May 22, 2010.  The Ducky Derby is the largest annual fundraiser by the local Rotary Clubs of Castle Rock.

Currently we are awash with ducks for the race. We have about 10,000 ducks that are in training, getting ready for the big race on May 22nd.

Prior to the race, only those ducks that have a ticket sponsor will be allowed to speed float down Plum Creek.  Each of the sponsored ducks will have a number on their bottom corresponding to the sponsor's ticket number. Helping to number all the floating ducks is Dewyn Taylor, son of Rotarian Erik Taylor. Actually, Dewyn was having more fun waddling among the ducks than in labelling!!!

Proceeds from the ticket sales and sponsors benefit the many philanthropic efforts of our clubs as well as nonprofit organizations within our community.  Past beneficiaries have included the Castle Rock Senior Center; Woman's Crisis and Family Intervention Center; Castle Rock Players; Face the Challenge; Transafrika Cultural Institutes; Douglas/Elbert Task Force; and the Rotary Clubs of Castle Rock.  Proceeds from the Ducky Derby have a tremendous impact locally, nationally and internationally.

The proceeds from our fundraiser in 2010 will support such beneficiaries as Douglas Elbert County Task Force, Castle Rock Senior Center Transportation Program, Castle View High School Scholarship Program, Crutches for Africa, Spina Bifida Association, Polio Plus and other worthwhile organizations to be determined during the course of FY 2010-2011 beginning in July 2010.
